Wardrobe Planning

What is the attitude, or image I want to project with my clothes? That varies with the different roles in my life. Simplicity is to select a few words that capture the essence of that essential image.

In my office, my work, I want to project an image that accurately reflects the work I do and the skills and experience I have. Professional, Insightful, Compassionate.

In my time at home with family and friends I want to project a more relaxed, informal attitude. Comfortable, Industrious, Friendly.

At special occasions I can be more whimsical, playful or more formal or fancy as it suits me. Joyful, Approachable, Spontaneous.

These are words that are an accurate reflection of who I am inside and I want my clothes to reflect that on my outside.

The wardrobe plan is what brings all that together.

Having any wardrobe plan is better than having no plan. I used to think my wardrobe plan was not good enough. I could always see it's shortcomings. It never felt 'done' always a work in progress.  But now I think that a good wardrobe plan is more like a book shelf: it lends an organized space in which to put the dynamic and ever changing contents.
